Hi, I’m Eric, a graphic designer with over 20 years of experience who’s recently ventured into the world of music. The Journey from Design to Music

My creative journey began in graphic design, which naturally led me to explore music production using AI tools and modern software. VTown Designs, my online print shop, showcases bold, vibrant designs that hold personal stories, created by a team consisting of my wife, my nine-year-old (whom we’ll call “M”), and myself. Together, we craft designs that reflect life’s important moments.

This creative business venture is more than just a shop; it’s a family effort, and our goal is to tell stories that resonate. Our music project, DigitalCadence, combines this passion with weekly releases that are a true expression of life’s highs, lows, and everything in between.

The Backstory of “Still Here”

One of my most personal tracks, “Still Here,” released on October 19, 2024, is a tribute to my late brother Eddie, who passed away in 2008. This song is a reflection of his memory and an expression of the complex emotions that come with loss. It’s my way of honoring him and keeping his spirit alive.

Eddie’s Story: A Journey of Strength and Struggle

Eddie’s life was filled with challenges and moments of love, and while we weren’t always close, I knew he cared deeply. He contracted HIV and eventually passed away from AIDS. This song channels the love, resilience, and acceptance I felt in his final days.

“Still Here” is more than a song—it’s a reminder that Eddie’s spirit lives on, especially in moments when I need encouragement. His voice still echoes in my mind, guiding me through tough times. This track is for everyone who has loved and lost, reminding us that our loved ones are never truly gone.
